With her eighth book, Suze Orman writes especially about women and money. In the past she had written with the idea that gender is irrelevant when it comes to finances. However, she then began to notice that a lot of women were having trouble with specific areas of financial management.
These are not ‘dumb’ women. They are smart, accomplished women who make good money and know what they are doing. Despite that, however, they seemed to be struggling with some very basic issues that they need to be addressing, like whether they were saving enough for retirement and why they weren’t getting their bills paid in the way that they’d hoped.
By offering practical advice to women on why many of them are facing these hang-ups, Orman shows that there is nothing that women can’t do if they put their mind to it and really want to manage their money.
