How To Improve a Low Credit Score

by Robert on October 1, 2008

There are a lot of things to do to make sure that your credit score gets better. If you have bad credit or you haven’t established much credit yet, you can’t qualify for big loans or good interest rates, so you’ll have to start small.

Expect to pay higher interest rates, and make sure you pay your payment – and all your other bills – on time. You can also get a secured credit card to help you establish a credit history, and you can check with local lenders if you want to borrow money. They are more likely to lend you money than large chain banks that don’t know you.

You can’t get a high credit score overnight, but you can begin to take steps today that will improve your credit more quickly than you would expect.
